Why A Registration Fee?

Au pairs will be asked to pay a $5 registration fee when signing up for the race.  Some of this will help defray some of the cost that is going into the event, but more importantly, a portion of that fee will go to benefit Kids First.  Kids First is Cultural Care Au Pair's own fundraising campaign.  As an organization, we believe in the importance of helping children worldwide, so we've been working hard to accomplish that over the last several years.  In addition to being able to help purchase a bus for Orphanage #63 in Moscow, Russia, we have also been able to focus our efforts not only in a couple more of our recruitment countries, but also a little closer to home too!

Rebecca and I felt particularly strongly about making this event a fundraiser for Kids First, as well as a great, fun event for au pairs.  In fact, as I type this, Rebecca and some other members of the Cultural Care Au Pair staff are in Sao Paulo, Brazil, visiting Casa do Zezinho, so I know we will soon have another video to highlight our efforts there as well.  I know how honored Rebecca is to be representing this cause, so it is our hope that we will be able to contribute even more to lives of these children.

For all funds raised, Cultural Care Au Pair will match 100% of the proceeds, so we hope that this event will be a great success!

More information on the way soon!

Look for online registration forms, as well as LCC commitment forms in the coming days!  We are working hard to iron out all the details with the Boston staff, so please keep checking back and also be sure to frequently check your email for more specific details.
